hi... well speed painting is some thing where you have limited time to finish the painting. We usually set a time like say 15mins, 30mins, 45mins to make a painting. Start the painting with this time in mind and leave the painting in which ever stage it is once the time is finished. This kind of technique is used in generating several concepts. This will really be a rough painting where a concept is conveyed. once the concept is selected, the final finish painting will be done on that. Hope I have answered you well.
